When I returned to the bay after my second trip it became more apparent that my home had so much more to offer than I had ever realized. A crazy ride that kicked off in April of 2009. Back then all I had was a simple point and shoot and not much else. Complete inexperience and limited equipment didn't stop me from traversing the city of San Francisco, the surrounding bay, and the California coastline from top to bottom in search of that great view.
Only two months after I began I was hit hard by one of life's sudden downturns. Even with so much more on my shoulders I never let it stop me. Now having photography in my life gave me a reason to explore places I never had before. it helped me light up a dark time in my life. Because of this I have seen some amazing things and have made great friends from all across the globe along the way.
With patience and the help of good friends I finally understood. It's true when they say some things happen for a reason, even if you can't see the reason right away.
